Hi sptucha, I know this is an old thread, but I'm wondering if you had any luck finding that part for your jointer-and if so, where you tracked it down. I have a 2030 and need to find replacement blades for my jointer, which is proving difficult. I'm hunting for tips on vendors off the beaten path that might have some.

 

Jointer knives are p/n 793014-3 and a google search turns up a couple of sources including e-bay. Also, you can have your existing ones re-sharpened - over and over again until they are just too short to safely engage in the holders - which would take a LOT of sharpening!

Unfortunately I didn't find a replacement piece. I ended up selling the machine at a big discount due to the issue.

 

Brad, thank you. I had found a different part number from another forum and was going down the rabbit hole trying to buy it. (For some reason, I thought 793014-3 was only for the 2030N). I just acquired my 2030 and have yet to track down the full manual. That's next on my list.

My machine seems to to be complete but with issues, including that the jointer knives are in bad shape. It looks like the original owner sharpened them down repeatedly, and then-just guessing-tried to smooth a plumber's wrench. On both knives, the half inch closest to the fence is mangled. To compensate, he installed a 1-inch-thick piece of hardwood along the fence and shifted the work to the good part of the knives. I'm going to talk with a local shop about having them ground and sharpened, but just eyeballing it, there doesn't appear to be enough left to make it worthwhile.

 

I just acquired my 2030 and have yet to track down the full manual. That s next on my list.
