Woodworking Skill ShareI've got a bunch of 2x6 Cedar Boards that I want to cut a 5.25" long x 2.5" wide "U" shape into. I know the old fashioned way is to do it with a jigsaw, and a cooler way would be to do it with a dado set (if it went that deep) but I'm curious if anyone here has a clever way to make this cut...

Designing Woodworking Projectsi'd like to try this skill, using my dewalt trim router. using the little router means i wouldn't have to remove the big boy router from the router table. if i use a 1/4" bowl bit in the trim router, and only lower the bit 1/16" at a time (or less), think i would strain the bit or router too...

Power Tools, Hardware and AccessoriesI have a 6” delta jointer model 37-190c with a 3/4” horsepower motor that seems to be leaking oil although I haven’t yet found the source, just a growing stain on the plywood base beneath it. Is the motor salvageable? Need to be replaced? I don’t have a clue about electric motors. Thanks

Woodworking Skill ShareHi I`m working mainly with beecha (did a very good find, so I have a lot of it). I`m using power tools and a bit of hand tools. I would like to transit to use more hand tools. However, I seem to be almost unable to plane beech using a hand plane. It seems to be very hard to get decent shavings...
