Hey everyone, I am currently in the process of restoring a kitchen table. I have finished up with four coats of Minwax polyurethane and am now ready to try and buff it. I am hoping to buff it to a very high gloss, and most the methods I found suggest using automotive buffing compounds (Meguiars swirl remover and polish). My concern is that I am unsure if this can be used on a kitchen table, and will it be good safe. I have young children, who drop and eat food off the table from time to tome, so I need to make sure whatever I use to polish the table is safe for them to eat off of essentially. Any feedback/suggestions/guidance is much appreciated.
