My jet came equipped with rubber tires and when one blew apart I replaced them with urethane. It was an easy job, and the urethane don't need to be glued in place like rubber. Seem smoother to me also.

 

I picked up the same model (28-160) at a yard sale for $5. I was able to get a PDF of the manual from DeWalt:

I recently ordered replacement tires (not urethane, though) from ereplacementparts.com

I've done a few test cuts and the new tires do seem to help quite a bit, particularly with the blade tracking.
