If there's one thing that I have learned in my 65 years, it is that Life is full of people who criticise.
I have worked in the public sector for 47 years and learned early on to take it constructively and not personaly and if it applies then make the adjustments, if not, move forward.

...rants on the other hand are opinions, and like 'belly buttons' everyone has one. ;-)

You are a man who has seen the error you've made and taken the steps to correct that, good for you. Now you feel better and should put it behind you so you can move forward. No absolution given here, only understanding.
