Looks like a J.A. Richards Electromatic Super Diemaker Saw Trimmer.. probably from the 60's or 70's.. apparently a super accurate saw with adjustments made to 1/128"

100% happy with my sc saw. It's my life long saw, I won't replace it. I'm looking at this saw more as a restoration if it's worth it.

That cool. I thought about buying the PM just for that reason but thought better of it, I don't want my hobby to turn into working on the tools rather than using them. So far so good with the r4511… for what I paid with the LSA I am pretty happy. Both the Delta and Craftsman are sold and out of the whole mess I made about $100 and basically got 6 Bessey K3's for free (4-24", 2-36"), that said I am still looking for something like that PM if I see a killer deal and will turn up the search once I have 220 in and our other summer projects are complete (new Gazebo, new storage shed and a potting bench).

The saw you have there seems very unique, could be fun but I would worry about parts (arbor, bearings)...

 

from the looks of it I think it would be a perfect setup for power feeder.

 

Looks like it is for ripping only. It doesn't look that it tilts; blade goes up and down only. I think I would pass on this saw; too many limitations; too specialized.

 

Do you still have this saw? did you want to sell it?

 

The miter slot makes me think it could be used for cross cutting.

 

This thread is roughly 8 months old, I offered money for the saw but never bought it. Still kicking myself for not buying and restoring it.
