Another question for the masses. I picked up a Craftsman 14" inch bandsaw on sale yesterday. Seems like a pretty good saw, but the blade is horrible. I say general purpose, but plan on doing some bandsaw boxes and other little crafty things. Not any resawing. Figure I'll go with a Lenox 1/4". What do yall recommend as far as TPI goes?

Hi Gary,

I have using Timber Wolf blades and they have a chart on their web site with suggestions as to which blade to use and for which material. In the three years I have been using their blades and suggestions the blades have done a great job. Here is their chart Link .

Blade widith and tooth pattern has a great deal to do with what you are trying to cut in thickness, material, and radius of cuts (if any). In other words different blades for differant purpose.

Hope this helps.
