Sounds like you've got it covered to me! Clean rollers and clean, sharp knives are the most important. All other areas such as bearings and pulleys are sealed, so no routine maintenance there. If you are the only person using the machine, then you will notice straight away if something doesn't feel or sound right. The only other things I would keep an eye on are the rise and fall mechanism (keep clean and free from chips that may jam it) and the pulley belt (assuming it has one!) tension. Just keep it clean and it will be good for many years yet.

I have the DW735….
I have done nothing to it except the waxing, sharp blades and an occasional shop-vac to the outside.
Wish I had done more….

The height adjustment handle became harder & harder to turn.
Now the lift mechanism is all messed up. The machine is racked, front to back.
It won't raise or lower. I will be doing non-elective surgery, to heal/repair the patient.
I think an exploratory/cleaning surgery would have prevented any problems.

but I'll bet dust/chip build-up is causing my issue.

I have an older Ridgid and a big Woodmaster and I am diligent about keeping the dust and debris brushed/blown out after every use. (especially on the threaded adjustment parts).

 

Check to make sure dust doesn't accumulate around the dust shroud. Sometimes the shroud will crack and spill chips into the machine there. It makes the height adjustment wheel difficult to crank.
