I was originally going to look for a 10" sliding miter saw and wanted to get the Kobalt one from the reviews i read/watched, but it seems they no longer sell the 10". So I was looking at Home Depot today and they have the Dewalt DW716 double bevel miter saw for $349, which I thought was good, but then I saw the same saw on their display stand marked down to $261. I'm seriously considering buying this saw. I know I wanted to get a sliding saw, but it looks like I'd only be gaining about a 1 1/2" - 2" width capacity over the DW716. I have a table saw, so I'm thinking I probably don't need a slider. Not sure why this saw is on sale. It doesn't say it's used. It's only on their display stand. Maybe no box? Of course no one was around when I wanted to ask about it. I'm going to check tomorrow. Saw on a video review that this saw can crosscut a 2Ă—10 if you remove the top fence and put a 2x under it. The slider I was looking at could only cut to 13 1/2". Not much difference.
