So, I decided to make some Halloween Jack-O-Lanterns just for fun on my new OneFinity CNC. I've got proper dust collection, or so I thought...but for this stuff, good was not good enough. I wound up with cedar dust in my mouth, and the next day, the inside of my mouth and my tongue was so irritated that I can barely eat anything that is not perfectly bland. Two days later and the symptoms persist. I just learned that the culprit is Plicatic Acid - found in abundance in Cedar I'm going to try baking soda to neutralize it, if it helps, I'll post here. BEWARE THE CEDAR DUST!!!!
UPDATE: Baking soda slurry is the answer. Used it as a mouthwash and the symptoms have abated significantly in just a few minutes.
