Looking at a used Jet lathe , Model JWL1240. Bench model. What would be a fair price for this.

My uneducated guess would be somewhere in the $225-250 range.
This is a tabletop lathe, is not variable speed, and is essentially a starter lathe.
That price is the lathe alone, no extras like tools, and in good to very good condition. IMHO….
