Toolboxes

I've heard that H.Gerstner is the best-- there high prices and selling out overseas,I wouldn't buy one.
Is there anybody that makes a good toolbox thats well thought out and looks nice?
I don't have the skill nor the tools or I'd make my own. Who's Gerstner's compatition?
Who makes wooden toolboxes?

Ordinarily I don't recommend them for anything but I bought a wooden box from Harbor Freight that was priced well and is decent. It isn't a Gerstner but you can 4 of theHFs for the price of a gerstner.

I hadn't heard that Gerstner sent production overseas, if true, that's very disappointing. A quick look at their website and the toolboxes are American made. Totally agree they are overpriced.

Gerstner still makes their product in the USA. To remain competitive with knock-offs, they market another line of product as Gerstner International. Somewhat like General and General International.

Never bought one, always made my own . . .

Lets me build to spec instead of having to adapt my tools to the box.
