I never used tinted danish oil before so when I saw "Cherry" color Watco danish oil,I thought I would give it a try,I like the look it gives to old dark Pine but if I put it on any light color wood like Maple,it leaves a reddish stain on the wood that I don't like,is there any way to tone it down?
I thought of pouring it in a glass jar and let it sit for a day then siphon the top layer to another container ,then pass it through a coffee filter ,what do you think?

Thank you both,I did manage to tone the red down by removing/siphoning the oil and leaving the red residue in the glass jar ,the oil I'm left with may not have the same proportions of the ingredients that I originally had,it's definitely less reddish in color ,I'll see if it drys differently but so far so good.
