You will find it at the bottom right hand side of a post.

Wanted to test whether a "quoted post" can be edited, to make it shorter or more to the point!!!

If Andy can do it, it must be pretty easy.

 

Much better. When it first showed up as just some text in quotes I wasn't too impressed or thrilled about it, but this looks much better. It's way easier to differentiate from the comment below.

You can directly quote a question within a post, so as to answer a specific question. That or to add insight to a previously posted comment.

So they don't nest, but that's probably a good thing. Also good to know that I can edit the quoted text as well. Don't always need all of what was quoted

Don't blame Monte, I was just playing, I changed his words.
Just bringing out a point about being able to edit the quoted comment.

Might be a good idea to lock the quote.
Makes it easy to stir the pot…

 

This is a very welcome feature, It will help people answer directly to other posters within a thread. Hopefully on topic…of course, there will be some abuse, as is already evident. I like this feature on other websites, to QFT. Those I don't Bowdlerize.
