Spam Private Messages

Hello,

I keep getting these spam private messages. I've used the contact us feature at least twice, maybe 3 times asking what I can do about them or how I can stop them and have yet to receive even the courtesy of a reply. Does anyone monitor that account? Why have the feature if you're not going to acknowledge those that use it? What a bunch of crap! I'm done with this site. Take care everyone.

Uncheck email notifications for private messages in your profile setup. This is a free site so it was an eventuality of getting pounded by spammers. Until the website updates to something more secure (example: no private messages the first 48 hours of joining or such), gots to put up with it. No need to be "done with this site". It's not as if your wood working hobby/career comes to a screeching halt because of a couple email notifications.

Billsny-. Do you open the messages or simply delete? If you open… I do not open and only get one occasionally. Not worth the loss of this great site. I get around a hundred e mails a day on my regular account, and just delete. Why the tantrum?

ditto ,you dont contribute except to complain.the spam is a constant problem here if you dont like it leave-geez.or follow the crickets directions.oh sorry cricket is the admin who fixes problems,which obiviously who dont know about.as smitty said-BYE!
