I've been using card scrapers for years. I like what they can do. None of my friends are fans. A question occurred today that I don't really need answered, but my curiosity got to me. How long does the hook last for those of you that use these? For example; I was scaping 16 three foot long. slightly curved, 1 1/8" wide cherry project parts today. The hook needed attention around halfway through. I usually sharpen all four edges on these, and rotate as needed, but I decided to test the longevity of a single edge today.

I am still working on scraper prep skills. Sometimes my scraper starts out dull when it is fresh from sharpening.
