SawStop “mod” to save your hip: stow the fence handle upright

The fence handle for my 3hp PCS fence handle used to lay horizontally at rest, and was easy to run into. I shaped and tapped a small oak block into an angle adapter for it. The block now stows in a vertical position.

I got my saw secondhand, but just in case others out there are bumping into the handle alot, here it is.

The block is about 1 ¼ x 1 ¼ x 1 ½ (wide). The angled face was cut with a dozuki; any fine tooth saw would do.
It is too small for me to comfortably secure it for a powered saw.
The black oxide bolt is a through hole. I didn't have the 10mm tap, so the handle screws into a 10mm rivnut-like nut. The top corner was also cut at an angle, but it needed some additional rounding off enough so that, when in the upright position, it doesn't hit the end of the fence.

Thanks for sharing this idea. I have the same problem with running into handles that stick out. The final is made from aluminum, but 3D printed one to check dimensions (I started before you posted the dimensions).
