Hello,
I am having toruble finding a 10-16ft Imperial 1/2" wide tape ruler that reads right to left. Also I am looking for a folding ruler that reads right to left with a slide-out inside measuring tool. I searched the lumberjocks forums and didn't find an answer. I'm tired of reading upside down on my Stanley PowerLock and making mistakes when measuring. Lufkin makes a QuikRead tape that is center read but it is large 3/4x16ft and Perfect measuring tape co. has one but it is 25ft. I want something that fits in my Jeans front pocket.
Thank-you, Hough.

You're 1/2 way in luck... I can tease you with pictures of the two I own,

however, damn if I can remember where I bought them from. I vaguely remember I might have bought them from Woodpeckers, but that was many years ago and I couldn't find them on their site. Got this hit searching with "m power r1 tape measure"... who dobs in Amazon's unavailability.
However, here's a close up of the logo that may give better results for you then me in searching,

Why 2 tapes you may ask? Inkeeping with the adage "measure twice..."!

Lee Valley has a cabinet makers tape that is available in right to left, is 10' long, with a 1/2"wide blade. Price is $8.90

Cheap tapes are... wait for it... cheap. You'll probably be gobsmacked with this revelation and it's just about impossible to comprehend in your wildest imagination, however, I've had cheap tapes go rogue on me in the past.
Now on regular occasions, I validate my not so cheap tapes against a steel rule at "normal temperatures".

My decision was based on needs, not price. This tape from lee valley was a perfect fit, pocket size, no metric markings, and right to left read. I have found no other tapes that fit those needs except close seconds are "Micro Mark" and "Perfect Measuring Tape Co."(25ft) both favour metric markings.
That's a great idea to check against a known good example, I will compare the markings with a good rule when they arrive.
