I resently purchased a Ridgid table saw TS3650 for $200.00, in excellent shape. I know the reviews of this saw are mixed but for this price it was worth it for me. Only issue is it's missing the splitter. Any ideas of what I can do to replace it. I looked at the micro jig system using those small tabs installed after the blade.
Any suggestions
Thanks

I'm guessing my "splitter" you mean whast Ridgid calls "Spreader Assembly" ( # TH1010 ) in their parts list. Their website lists the part as no longer available, but I'd start by watching eBay, where tool parts turn up now and then. You can look at a diagram of it on their parts page: https://ridgid.ordertree.com/catalog/partslist/view/groupid/235176/?assembly=Blade%2BGuard%2BAssembly&assemblyid=51146 .

If you're game for some metal work you might fab something like it from sheet stock. It looks ver similar to many other spreaders I've seen on small saws, so it might be easy enough to adapt one made for different model. I think that's what I'd do.

You can use to saw without one, as we did for decades before they makers started putting them on saws. If so I would abide by my first rule of table sawing: keep your vital parts out of the line of rotation on the blade. That way if something does kick back it won't hurt you, at least.

Kid, I've got the same saw & my splitter/guard has been on a shelf for nearly 20 years now. If you need specs/pics for any of it I can send you those. I've also got the micro jig splitter system sitting on a shelf also unused. I have a wide variety of push sticks and various feather boards that do get LOTS of use. I'd suggest you get Kelly Mehler's book You'll need to go through the saw from top to bottom to check all functioning parts and ensure proper alignment for safe function. The book also has quite a bit about safe process and procedures. As you hone you skill and become comfortable with the saw you'll understand why the splitters are always off of the saws.

Wow! I'm sure this comment regarding splitters was well intentioned but it's contrary to every single authoritative comment I've ever seen regarding safety and table saws.

Is that why your avatar shows two TS without splitter/guards?

What are you exactly missing

Are you talking about the rail setup for it?
As stated, he is missing the splitter... and this thread is ~5 years old, and the OP hasn't been seen around here for a couple years - so I wouldn't hold your breath expecting a reply from him ;)

Cheers,
