just built a rustic dresser and would like to find a cool looking top for it… I have some pics of the dresser on my profile. I would love any help with what type of wood may look good or go with the look and style of the dresser. thank you I really appreciate your input guys!

 

You may want to specify that you are looking for a lumber supplier in or around the area you live in. Sorry, Im on the east coast. I wont be of much help. Search your areas CL for wood mizer etc and find a local sawyer.

I think a natural edge slab of the same wood would look good on it.

but I would look for an "urban logger" or sawmills in the area that take local trees out and slab them.

Maybe just call a 'Tree Trimming" service and aske them about sawyers - - that harvest wood that maybe they call in for unique trees.

 

Know of some giant pecan slabs (biggest ones I've ever seen, unreal, and dirt cheap) that would probably work, unfortunately they are about 1,500 miles from your house.
