Lost Sketchup Codes

I had an inquiry today about a sketchup code that I posted in this V8 Workbench blog in 2012. Apparently the link no longer works. It is of the "frame …........... frame" format like the youtube embed codes that LJ no longer accepts so I suspect that is the problem.
I would like to reinstate the link. Anyone have a workaround?

Just take the contents of the src="" tag.

1) http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/mini?mid=985b3d9d548dcc9252d9fc61873164a1&etyp=sw&width=400&height=300

Is that image what you were looking for? If you strip it down a bit you get:

2) https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/embed.html?mid=985b3d9d548dcc9252d9fc61873164a1

Which provides some level of interactivity… though it's really small and pixelated if you zoom in. Then I went to the base URL (http://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com) and searched for the code (985b3d9d548dcc9252d9fc61873164a1) and ended up at:

3) https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=985b3d9d548dcc9252d9fc61873164a1

Perhaps that's the one you need? Copying the embed link from there to here gets me:

4)

AKA, nothing useful. It would seem that perhaps LumberJocks doesn't support embedding HTML? You'll probably just have to not embed and resort to a regular link.

Thanks.
Where do I find the "regular link"?
All I could find under "share" was the embed code and the G+, Facebook, Twitter etc. links.

Thanks again.
I already have subbed it in. However I still have several of the old codes in other blogs, as I'm sure other LJs do as well, that I'd like to be able to fix.

altendky, thank you again. I went back and worked my way through your description and was able to find the link code for my broken link in this post and replace it.
I am of the generation that learned about computers long after the good learning years were behind me. This is seriously deep stuff for me.

You made my day.

Paul, it's so grrrrrrrr that LJ seems to not being able to figure out how we embed a video anymore, but Cricket made a post about it some time back.
Go to youtube, grab the last part of the code they provide, if -
then: RpbrHLiSCns. Then go to this site: http://www.gorissen.info/Pierre/files/YouTube_code.htm
Insert the RpbrHLiSCns
Te site will then generate the code (top one).
The code generated are then put into your post and people can see the video.
(No this is not a joke, even it should be).
Best thoughts,
Mads

Yes Mads. I have a work around for YouTube that works fine for me. This was about sketchup but now I have a work around for that too.
I do find it odd that they have dropped something as commonly used as imbed codes after accepting them for years but I'm sure there are reasons ….. .???
