We used to make a lot of europeon cabinets with the 32mm system but we never had one of those hinge insertion machines. We had the drilling equipment but the hinges that we used had a cam lock type of system. So all you had to do was put the holes in the right place and install them manually. We've been out of it for a good many years. Before you buy one you might want to wait and go to the Atanta woodworking show week after next and take a look at what's available in both hinges and equipment. You're only in Dalton so it's just 80 miles from you. I know that you've probably been to it already but if you haven't it is well worth the time.

I've been looking On Craigslist, but no luck yet. I know that there is some websites that sell used equipment I just havent found a machine that I can use. It's got to run off of 110 volt or air, most of the machines I've look at are 440 3 phase which is way too big for me.

All the Blum machine I've ever used are 3 phase. And I think they are at least $1500 when new, and usually around $750 or more used.

How many hinges a month do you install? I use Inserta hinges, which don't need a machine to install. I drill the cup on a drill press, and use the Blum hand jig to drill the two "dowel" or locating holes.

The most I've ever installed in a month was 47. The hinges I have two boxes of 250 ea Blum compact Hinges that I picked up off of craigs list for $200.00 they are the press fit type. I have two different jigs one is a rockler that you use a router to rout out the hole, Its a pain to use. The other one is a Euro eze Its's ok. I was just wanting a faster way to install them.

It has been over 10 years ago since I bought a machine from my hinge supplier. It is a manual machine made in Austria by Gannomat called the Red Barron. It doesn't have the fancy air clamps and feed but for under $400, it gets the job done very well. It has 4 spindles so I can also use it for a number of different RTA fasteners.
