I ve owned that saw. Why do you want one? If you re collecting, fine. They re good saws but there are other options these days, in particular a new line I can t recall the name of I recently saw in a thread here. They have the Inca style fence and a fancy miter gauge.

Is there a way you can find the name of the saw you are referring to ?
Thanks

no. I just think it looks like a cool-featured saw I would like.

I've owned most of the INCA machines. The only one I currently have is the 710 band saw. INCA is good stuff but the tech is 30-40 years old, if not older. There's so much cool stuff on the market these days I don't know why I would argue for INCA unless you found one and wanted a 12" blade and were sure you could tolerate the fact that the blade tilt shaft could break, or the motor blow out. I've heard of both problems with the cabinet saws. Despite that I liked mine a lot.

People do probably overcharge for them on account of the idea they are collectible. I paid $1000 for my cast iron one with the smaller rails. Later I found another for less and bought that too, with the longer rails and the auxiliary wing that slides on the rails.

Anyway, if you have questions about Inca there's a group on yahoo I think.

Thanks Loren. I appreciate it.

I have a 710 and an Inca jointer. And I have joined the group. But I am not crazy about collecting them. I have great respect for a company when they make products with smart engineering and design with the end user in mind. I like the "Good is not enough" attitude of Harvey. I checked the site.

But it seems like if you get an Inca 2200 for a reasonable used price you are still getting more. That blade tilt shaft breaking is a concern I have.

Harvey site doesn't have a price list on the website I think . I am going to look into it further. Their dealer list button is not working.

You can ask Eagle Tools in Glendale. They have one. They sell Laguna and SawStop and will suggest them, but I have had my 2100 for over 30 years and I am still very attached to it.
Ive seen them recently on craigslist in Los Angeles and Offer up. Just not right now.
