This may not be all that helpful, but I didn't see much reason to invest in a plunge palm router myself. Instead, I bought a Ryobi palm router (just since I'm invested in their battery ecosystem) and a Bosch 1617EVSPK plunge router which is more of a midsize (2 1/4 hp). Really like having this combo and I can pretty much do everything I need.

My setup is almost identical. I have the Ridgid cordless trim router because of battery investment and a Milwaukee 2 1/4 hp with fixed and plunge bases. If i was free of the Ridgid battery shackles I would probably have gone with the DeWalt DWP611. The vacuum attachment and ability to add a plunge base if needed just makes it much more flexible. The Ridgid can have a vacuum port but it sticks straight off the side throwing off control. The DeWalt design looks much better.

+1 Dewalt DWP611.
The led task light is really helpful for these old eyes, and is best part of using it.

Morphon is interesting, but there are several cheap compact routers in market. MLCS has Rocky 30 with fixed base on sale for $69 right now.
Looking at all the no-name 1.25HP compacts on Amazon, I see one commonality:
The head shape and plunge base adjustments look almost identical to Makita compact router?
hmm…
