$1200

Legacy ornamental woodworking mill, model 1500, with Porter Cable 5 speed router model 7539, Standard, 2x and 1/4 gear sets, hand crank plus variable speed power drive and limit switches, rotary table, contour follower, dust collection, 11" diameter by 72" length capacity, tilts on both ends of the bed, includes a long and short flat table.
I made massive 7' x 11" spiral columns for our entry, one has a left hand spiral, the other has a right hand spiral. (see the pictures in my projects section) Also made 5" x 36" posts for the corners of our kitchen island, as well as small candle sticks. This amazing machine can handle the big and little projects.

need to make room in the shop for a bigger machine

Several years ago I had my heart set on the 1800. I understand that Legacy does very little with the router mills now and has moved on to just CNC machines. Those router mills are an amazing tool. But I guess CNC is the way of the future.

Not really sure what it would take to crate it for shipping.

I did, however, find a local fellow who does small individual load shipping. For example he just delivered a load to Philadelphia, then brought something back. He has a small trailer that he pulls behind his truck. That would eliminate the need for freight carrier level crating. It would also be much cheaper. If he can find a load going close to you, then also find one coming back this way, then delivering the mill would be just a little extra charge.

BlueStingrayBoots or Stan3443 or anyone else - this could greatly simplify the shipping issue.
It may take a little time to find loads going both ways, but he does this all the time and would be willing to research it if he knew what towns to start looking for.
