How should I rotate my phone to view this kind of picture?

I was trying to make sense of some photos like the one below. now I don't think its a wall mounted cabinet, i think its a chest that sits on the ground and the top lid opens up, but rotating the photo isn't enough. No matter what direction I rotate it still looks like a wall cabinet!!!!!! Should I lay my phone on its back and look down at the screen from above to unlock this complex puzzle? or should the user have downloaded some futuristic holographic program to rotate it the right way?

Maybe I would suggest taking three pictures. one with the phone upright, the other two with the phone turned sideways (left and right). Insert each picture, and hit the preview button to see which way the picture comes up upright. Then delete the off pics. Good way for a future reference to do it. If I'm not using a regular digital camera, I have to turn my phone 1/4 turn clock wise to come up properly to the LJ site. Even though my computer auto corrects to the upright picture.

a real camera?
I use a (old? 7.2 Mpxl) Sony Cybershot camera.
I nevertheless have to edit the pictures taken in portrait mode so that they don't come rotated on LJ.

The first picture of Bandit is obviously the result of an unusual framing. Which illustrates his comments:
" Sometimes … sideways just means viewed from one side…"

"Should I lay my phone on its back and look down at the screen from above "
Yes put it on his back on the table and push it to your right as if you were looking at the plate of the guest to your right.

Echos of OB1 Kenobi…

Just remember bandit... OB1 met his demise from a sideways blow from a light saber!

G'donya Sylvy... if you lived in Australia, I'd be prepared to share my cask of vino with you before it emptied... and that is one helluva compliment 2U!

When you want Duck's attention….sometimes, when trying to show an item…like grain defects..

Or…merely ask for a look at the end grain?

Ask and ye shall…...(I even rotated this for a better view)

ironically that stack of wood looks more like a duck then LBD does.

- SMP
thats because the duck is an inbred mutation abandoned by the other ducks at birth.
