Sigh. I suppose this is to deal with the spammers, but it's about ten seconds for me, almost every page load.

Any chance of getting that change reverted? It will definitely lead to me using LJs less.

Only happened to me once too when I first accessed the site this morning. Once I was signed in, it hasn't done it again. Do you let it put a cookie on your browser? Maybe if you do, it'll quit doing it on every page load?

so it's not every page load for me, I can go from page to page, but if I open a new tab I get it again.
I would think it would be cookie based and if I have a tab open would not require it again.
pretty poor design if I can't open tabs I like to view multiple things at once.

So if I right click open new tab, I would not expect a check.. but I get one.
also if I open my bookmark in a new tab.

Funny but I just clicked 2 open new tabs and it didn't happen. but from my bookmark it did.
then it happened again for open new tab

Mine refreshes 4 times and takes 18 seconds.

I keep the pulse homepage on my bookmarks bar, so it does it every time I use it.
It doesn't do it when I'm clicking on threads or using my back button.

But I use my Bookmark link all the time, looks like I have to change the way I browse or get used to it

I also have multiple restarts of the browser check with Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or on my iPad. The "secure site" symbol does not appear in any of the browsers until the actual forum page is loaded. The first time I tried logging in this morning I saw an "unsecure site" warning and actually stopped the attempt. I don't like this new feature.

Dave, I get the same screen. I have Apple MacBook Pro, IPhone and IPad. The screen started showing up when I updated them yesterday. I know that there was an emergency update because of a just discovered vulnerability in their operating system, hence thew update.

I don't know if the means by which we access this site make a difference, but my Gmail said you posted a new Forum, and by clicking on the forum link, I immediately came to this forum page. No delay, no message, just straight through.
Thanks for the warning, keep your fingers out of the saw blade, and keep the dust out of your nose. Not that I usually tell others what to do …....
