How long can a person wait to apply stain after putting Charles Neil's Blotch Control on Pine. I am just completing a job making some Pine centerpiece discs and the customer wants to apply the stain himself. If I apply two coats of the Blotch control and he doesn't stain them for a month, will there be any issues?

There is certainly one person here that has the ultimate knowledge about the product so he can answer the question better. I used it a few times and sometimes I stained long after I applied it with no issues. I think it is a modified PVA glue. Its dry time is a few hours. After it dries it stays that way for many years.
But… If the customer wants to do it himself why not to let him take the responsibility for the result ?
PVA based blotch control is not without issues. If he uses water based stain and applies it in the reqular way as if there is no blotch control i.e. working not fast enough, he is going to get one awfully looking dirty mess and guess who he will blame for it.

Thank you Charles. I also sent an email to your website asking the same question but also posted here because I wasn't sure I would get a reply before I had to deliver the Pine discs. You can disregard that email.
Carloz, I've known this customer for 30 years. The offer to do the complete job for him was made and he chose not to have me do that. It's his daughters wedding and he wants to do the staining with her. A Father/Daughter thing. It's probably a $$ issue as well. Weddings aren't cheap these days so you cut corners where you can. I'm putting the blotch control on because I know they would just put stain on raw Pine and call it good. If they mess it up, they won't come back on me. What I would likely hear is "We should have let you do it".
