I'm making a small box to give to my girlfriend on her birthday and wanted to have her name either engraved or burned onto the top. The lettering would be about 1 X 3 inches. If anyone could do this please let me know how much it would cost. thanks

You can buy a wood burning kit at Walmart. Practice on some scrap and do it yourself. I'm sure she would appreciate it more. Mike in Mich.
Thanks for the replies, I tried doing it with a wood burner on some scrap but wasn't happy with how it looked. I think I'll just leave it as is without the name.
try just the initials or one letter if u freehand with a router holding the base u cna do it just go very slow. by the way what is her name and the size of the box top your tring to do? also how far away is her b-day?
Most trophy shops have CNC type lazers possibly they can do the engraving for you. Give them a call to see what they have available.
