Never heard of her, but I like Tim Allen. I wonder if that show will be on hulu or anything? I don't have cable tv.

You could pay to stream the discovery network, I believe the History channel is part of that group.

I suspect there's a free 7 day trial to check it out, before you plunk down your bitcoins.

I saw it as well, and agree with Splinter. It's really entertainment rather than something to learn from. It was enjoyable. For those of you that don't know April, she has a youtube channel, She started with not much of a shop and made youtubes….she and her husband have moved several times and now has a huge building and a new business, selling various products, in Texas. I have been busy with my own things so haven't seen her much lately, but this is a huge building in Texas. She has built her knowledge and is really very informative, very pleasant and upbeat.

I like Oak Island and this show follows them, if I recall Tim Allen sold the History channel a ten show package, so should almost take Oak Island to the end of their season.

I am a History Channel addict, I had gotten disgusted with them and their repetition of some programs. Lately they have tried to get back to their roots with various programs about people from history, and shows like this. They have, in the past run the Pickers, Pawn Stars and the swamp dudes to the point where they have to be loosing their audience. If I was to watch Chumlee many more times, I was going to leave myself. Clearly the channel is trying…I will watch this show more..if for no other reason than April Wilkerson is in it and she is really one of us!

+1 too much entertainment.

+1 not enough wood working information, or interesting project tech.

Recorded the 1st show, but my DVR asked "Are you sure?" when I set recording; which means spam filter was warning me. Not going to record/watch anymore 'Assembly Required' shows. YMMV

I've never really liked these timed "make something" shows. From cooking, to sword making, to glass blowing, to crafting… It's somewhat interesting to see talented people troubleshoot under pressure, but I always feel underwhelmed with the final result. Like, if they had more time, we'd see a truly mind blowing piece rather than a pile of "meh".

That said, I loved Home Improvement when I was younger, especially the Tool Time bits Tim did with Richard. Home Improvement was part of our household's weekly viewing schedule.

A bit of trivia: During the Tool Time segments of the show, there was always a lovely woman there to help them - a roll originated by none other than Pamala Anderson. She was there the first few seasons then left for, I guess, bigger and better things.

Tough crowd.
I remember when she hung out here for a while 'back in the day'. Looks like she's done well for herself over the years…good for her. She's a cool chick…

Alright I watched it on History channel website. Its "ok", not great but watchable. If you don't like those kinds of shows them of course you won't like them. I actually enjoy many of the baking shows, and this kind of reminds me of the old show Monster Garage. Only Monster Garage was ten times better than this one. Doubt i would watch this again.
