Piano Bench #2: Design - joinery

So I haven’t forgotten about this bench. I have lots of spare time to plan my woodworking projects before I actually work on them. So I decided to work out all the joinery for the bench. I’m going to try my hand at loose mortise and tenon. I figured loose tenons would be easier because of all the curves. My plan is to route the mortises in the stock before I cut the curves. Here’s what I came up with: So enough planning . . . time to start cutting . . .
