Location: Dallas, Georgia

Name is Jerry, live in Dallas Georgia with my wife of 41 years in June, we have two grown boys. I have two interests jeeping and now woodworking and they are both best understood by the axiom (I think that is right) JEEP just empty every pocket!!

I have always been handy, built my first home in 1976 in Gillette Wyo. Well finished it from framing on. Got interested in woodworking about three years ago when I refinished an end table and it has been one interesting ride since.

Shop occupies 425 sq/ft of my walkout basement plus the adjacent garage where there is wood storage, my DC equipment and my Jeep lives. the main shop houses the following equipment;
1 TS Ridgid TS 3650
1 DeWALT 708 Compound miter slider
4 Routers; Ridgid R2910; Craftsman 320.17543; Marvel 40; DeWALT 618
1 Akeda DC16 dove tail jig
1 Delta JT 360 joiner/planer
1 Ridgid oscillating sander
1 Ridgid DP 15501
1 Shop Fox mortising W1671
2 Planers, Ridgid 4330 and DeWALT 733
1 Grizzly tenoning tool
1 Jet 14" band saw JWBS 14"CS
1 Jet 1000B air filter
1 Jet DC 650
1 HF 1500CFM dust collector with Dust Deputy and Wix filter
I Work Sharp 3000
1 Delta Rockwell 40-440 industrial scroll saw (24" throat circa 1958) works great
Miscellaneous other hand and power tools

that is most of it, all that has come my way since the summer of 2008 when all I had was the TS and compound miter saw.

I make stools, boxes, flag cases, food display tables, one joint venture entertainment center. This is enough for now, I will show pics where appropriate.

Well thank you for the welcome, took about 2 hours to find this page again!! By now everyone must think I am anti-social, well far from that, just confused for now. Where would some one post an introduction??

On your Home Page you can click on “edit your profile” and make your introduction or biography there. And, welcome to LJ. Once you get the hang of it you will be hooked.

Welcome Jerry. I suppose the best place to introduce yourself is by blogging about it. What’s a blog? Anything you want it to be.

welcome to LumberJocks :)
I see you are figuring out the site.
Blogs are a great way to introduce yourself to the community -and posting a project or two, of course, so we get to see what kind of woodworking you do.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself just about 2 years ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…
I apologize for the late welcome but I am currently serving overseas and don’t have a lot of spare time on my hands.

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
