Hey everyone….first post.
Just getting started again with woodworking for real this time. At one time about 15 years ago, I had a full complement of tools including table saw, router, jointer, planer, spindle sander, etc but had to liquidate when I needed some funds. My wife claimed I never made anything anyway. That was then and this is now. Starting over, literally. Now all I have is an old hand me down 10” bench saw, big box 10” miter, 8” dpress, Dewalt palm sander and 1.25 hp handheld router. Kinda sad once u spell it out. But to the point….the first thing I bought this time, right or wrong, is the dust deputy deluxe but think I may have made a mistake. More and more articles are highlighting the dust dangers and that concerns me greatly. So, I have visions of a couple of runs of 2.5” pipe and a few blast gates around two walls of the garage. Now I think I want the harbor freight DC but not sure how it will work with the dust deputy deluxe or if at all. I don’t think my Lowe’s shop vacuum will pull enough for all that network. Can the 2 horse collector work with the small deputy? I know I can step up/step down with reducers but not sure about the performance. Any dialogue would be appreciated.

Have your say...
