I built this coffee table for my wife. She likes to put together puzzles and usually takes over the dining room table for a week or so. Now she can take the top off the coffee table, work on the puzzle for a while and put the lid on until she has time to come back to it. I made the table out of poplar and used General Finishes Java gel stain and Arm-R-Seal to finish it up. I am pretty happy with the results although I might buff out the top with steel wool in a couple weeks after it fully hardens to dull the sheen a little. Thanks for watching

Nice design and execution on the puzzle/coffee table. You were smart to add the brace between the legs.

Nice job, I saw one where they used a train table they modified

-- Norman - I never never make a mistake, I just change the design.

Don, Thanks! I’m glad I added the brace. It looks good and feels solid

NormG, There are some pretty cool game tables out there. I will have to look for the modified train table
