I recently had a tire blow on the band saw. I thought it would be a good opportunity to share my experience with changing them out so I made a short 4 part series on it. Hope the info is helpful.
Here are parts 3 and 4.
Although not heavily used by end of part 4, the Urethane tires have shown me to be a good choice.
I have used the band saw since completing the videos and I am very pleased at the performance. It runs quieter and blade tension is easier to set and hold.
Thanks for viewing.

Scott, thanks for taking the time to produce this series. I have yet to change the tires on my saw but these videos certainly took the mystery out of it for me. They were well produced, informative and just down right fun to watch.

You are welcome. Thanks for the kind words. They were fun to make.
I wasn’t sure what I would be getting into but as you can see it is very do-able.
Thanks for viewing.

thanks for the videos. My tires are good for now but when they need to be replaced I’ll know who to order from and how to install.

Thanks for the videos. I only wish you had done them a year ago when my tire blew. As you stated, most of the tires are generic width so mine was much too wide and was a pain to trim. Might be time to replace both with the right size.
