Location: US, IOWA

My studies in woodworking began in my grandfathers shop. He taught me to carve a wooden sword with nothing but the vise and draw-knife. I caught the bug. Woodcarving caught my interest while I studied sculpture at the University of Iowa. Providing income led me to learn the art of interior millwork and trim carpentry. Since then my tools and skills have grown, as well as my shop space. Now I work as a project manager for Architectural Arts, a commercial millwork company in Des Moines, Iowa. Woodworking is once again a hobby. My work has grown in quality and design much more since I no longer have to justify my income based on my work. I find I enjoy woodworking much more as a hobby than a profession.

Welcome and great bench.
Post pictures of your projects, we would like to see them.
Are the things on the website things that you made?
If yes , for sure they are very impressive and you are very gifted.

Thanks for the warm welcoming! I feel like I’ve finally found my home, or at least the web community where I belong.

Yes, images on linked website are projects that I’ve worked on in the past. I’ll continue to add more work in the following days.

Thanks again! Cheers!
