Great Bandsaw Blades
This is a follow up to my praise of this resource http://www.orderbandsawblades.com. I have been using the blades now for a couple of weeks, and boy do they do the job. As I said before they are not flimsy they are sharp and rip well and cut effortlessly. I am using a 3/8×6tpi on my 10” Jet, prior blades including Lennox and Olsen failed and dulled quickly, and were costly for what they were. Service is great, shipping is cheap and fast. two 5’ 7 1/2 blades were about $15, shipping $5 in 2 da...
Perfect in every way.
This blade is great for cutting box joints and dados. I prefer the 1/4 inch cut, the 3/8 inch is seems not as controlled (it is) but I still stick to 1/4. I tried this in a crosscut and a rip cut, both cuts were excellent. I was just too lazy to change my blade for 4 cuts. Model ending in 01 has factory problems
Unfortunately this very nice bench top drill press with twin laser guides has a few glitches. The table platform will not tighten no matter how tight you turn the crank. number two the belt adjustment does not move. So what looked promising and great value for a wood shop was returned to factory for replacement for the upgraded 02 model. I must say that Bosch who owns Skill acknowledged the problem and are sending me the return stiicker, no hassle. Getting back to the press, for normal DIY woo...
Safety First Featherboard
I know that the other day I wrote that we should make our own jigs rather than get hyped into buying one.Well it seems that I WAS WRONG when it came to featherboards. This device from Milescraft is well made, practical and eye appealing. It comes complete with fittings for both 3/4 and 5/8 miter slots.I ordered the double set from Amazon, this really makes sense both dollar wise and usefulness. I leave one on the router table fence and one in the table saw slot. Moving one or the other when ...
