I would demand to have him put it back together and film it running just to see if it was on the up and up. I wouldn’t go to Chicago and plunk down $250 for parts of a lathe without knowing if it runs.

I went and looked it up. I would run from this one. Missing the tail stock and in a bucket. 3Phase 1/2motor. Seems a bit odd that such a low hp motor would need 3 phase. Further down in the Midwest I have seen much better at the same/less price.
