Hey there!
I’m looking for some advice on what to do with this side table stump I cut from a recent TREE FALL I did at the family cabin this past week. It’s roughly 20 inches and I used a chainsaw to cut off the bark, which left it rather jagged.
Looking for it to fit in between these 2 chairs I built as well.
Possible ideas.
Keep it as is and add laquer to seal it.
Stain it then seal it.
Sand it down smoother then finish it somehow.
Put it on a very large LATHE and try to make it super circular. (Although I dont have a lathe)

Also, should I put it on little FEET? to keep it off the ground?

Your location is hardly rustic. I would smooth, perhaps cut a rebate so there is an overhang for the table top, and paint to match. You are not putting it on the ground so only use feet if you need the height.

Leave it as is. Looks kind of cool, but it is going to weather and split as it dries over the next few years.
