Yes, Gary…...it is so sad, I hate it for the ones that have lost so much, I still shake my head in disbelief when I think about it. If someone were to tell me that we were going to have a tornado like that here, I would have said they were insane…..................INCREDIBLE…........so thankful we were spared.

Sure am glad you were safe. It will take years for some to recover from that damage. Some probably never will. So sad…

I didn't know if I was allowed to post a topic about my home town and the surrounding the surrounding towns….........we have had devastating tornadoes come through our region. We had a tornado that stayed on the ground for a 90 mile radius. It has leveled two towns…....West Liberty and Salyersville. West Liberty is so bad, they will probably just finish leveling it off with a bull dozier and start rebuilding. My town is safe but on the outer skirts and in different neighbor hoods it has demolished homes, vehicles, you name it it is either mangled or desinigrated it. Power ful Tornadoes, I think they said they were F-3's. We are not accustom here to tornado's. An occasional one that never did much damage….....and to my knowledge not killed anyone as long as I have lived here. I am going to post a few pictures, so you can see the devastation that I am seeing everyday when I go down the road from my place. View attachment 585513

Hi Craig…............Thank You for the compliment on our bathrooms doors. My shop as we were building was my house….....but now that we are in the house we had to move all of our equipment to the front porch because we still have some trim work, and I am finishing the right bottom side of my kitchen cabinets…........so my front porch serves as my workshop for now, untill we get time to build one in the near future.

I'm from the west side of the country, on the coastal region. But I have to say those sliding doors in your restroom/bath are just unbelievablly eloquent. To perform all your good work and you dont show pics of your shop. I'm a newby and rearrranging. Thats my excuse.

    Hey Woodchic,
Thanks for the welcome note on my homepage… much appreciated… I have to say, you are not only very beautiful, but extremley talented (your husband is one lucky man)... I love the pics of your house, that place looks amazing, is there any chance of showing us the kind of view you get looking out the windows? I can only imagine it looks great… Does your husband do any work in the shop or are you the only one allowed?
Anyways, enough questions for you… glad to have you in my buddies list… take care

Hi BRAY! Thank You. I used hickory for the faceframes and the doors. The boxes are made out of 3/4 cabinet grade plywood.

    Hi Robin,
Welcome aboard the wood train called LumberJocks. If you were the one that did those project scenes in the pictures up above I am very impressed with your work. I'm retired now and do not do anything too big. But if I ever needed advice on anything in wood working I have this tremendous resource with all our members to advise me. Good luck with everything. It is a very fine membership here.
