What to do with a bunch of interesting pine??

Last Fall I picked up a bunch of beetle-killed pine. I’ve pitched a lot of it because it was punky or otherwise not usable.

There were a number of 10/4 boards, which I have milled down to just over 2” in widths between 6-8 inches. I was planning on just making picture frames, but as I was milling, I was starting to see some interesting grain patterns and colorations. Frames seem to be a waste of this wood.

The beetle bores could be filled in with clear epoxy.

Does anyone have any good ideas?

Google blue pine. You will get plenty of ideas.

Thanks for the ideas! A friend of mine took the un-usable pieces for firewood, so all ideas considered. :)

Resaw to 3/4” and make some plaques.

Have your say...
