good morning,,the trunnion on my delta table saw broke so im thinking about a new saw,,,,any suggestions? i mostly do jewelry boxes keepsake boxes cutting boards and chess boards so my new saw must be accurate,,,,im on a budget lol

incra miter guage - 4 replies

im cutting 45’s with my miter gauge for small boxes no more than 4 inches, should I lay the work piece flat and 45 the blade or stand it up and 45 the miter gauge,,, whats the best way? thanks for any advice

aligning table saw - 4 replies

my old delta contractors saw was a whole kerf outta alignment last year ( seems a piece of wood was jammed on the motor and when turning to 45 degrees it pushed the blade way outs alignment)and it was a real pain to get it right, hammer, clamps, trunnion bolts that I had to find by feel but 4 hours and some skinned knuckles later I got it…...

last summer I bought a Rockwell 4’ jointer and the guy threw in a set of 8’ blades that he said could be cut in half, Hss T1 thin knives,,,,can I cut them or should they go to a machine shop…can they even be cut without losing integrity

I recently made a box outta 50 year old maple from a church pew, 6×7x3 the wood was in my carport in damp weather for 3 weeks, the carcass of my box is fine, no problems..the lid however cupped abot 1/16 of an inch. it is 1/2 inch thick with 1 inch of the inside dado cut a 1/4 inch thick, was it the weather causing this? or am I doi...
