Safety Glasses are not enough! - 15 replies This is a reminder that safety glasses are not enough protection while working on the lathe. I was turning some green pear wood the other night. Broken Lathe - 17 replies I was turning a bowl yesterday and noticed I had to keep moving my tool rest up in order to stay on center. I also was getting more vibration than usual. As Trifern Turns - 13 replies I have had a few requests for a tutorial of how I turn a bowl. This bowl is laminated purpleheart and walnut. I used epoxy mixed with cumin for the adhesive.
