Taper Pins - What a great tip!

Inspired by a design by David P. the Drunken Woodworker, I recently built a picture frame sled for the tablesaw. Nothing too surprising there. Only instead of using toggle clamps I chose to use taper pins as endorsed by Sandor Nagyszalanczy in his EXCELLENT book “Woodshop Jigs & Fixtures” (ISBN 1-56158-073-2) What a taper pin is, briefly, is a pin… that’s tapered. (Woa. Slow down, there.) I guess they’re a top secret machinist’s trick for getting parts to line up accurately and repeatably.
