Hey all,

Something about Sketchup is really bothering me. Let’s say I want to put a note in one of my scenes. I do this using what they call “onscreen text”. For those that aren’t familiar with the term, this is basically text that has no leader line pointing to something.

Now, let’s say I have 30 scenes going in a file and I want the onscreen text on one of those scenes. The text will appear in the same spot in all of the scenes unless I go back and hide it and update the rest of the scenes. Needless to say, this get tiring when you start getting to about six scenes, much less 30, especially when you are having to put onscreen text on every scene.

Do any of the Sketchup experts here no an easier way to hide the text on multiple screens?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks Dave. I will have to try that plugin tonight. The way I was doing it was getting really old. Putting it on its own layer and hiding that layer and updating is also a little tiresome. The plug-in looks like the answer.

Thanks for the other tip also. I have some really screwed up models. I am going to start following that advice to see if it helps my problems.

Thanks again,

Oh Dave thanks for that tip…I’ve had problems several times due to drawing with a layer other than “layer 0” active. I thought I was doing it to save time but it doesn’t work that way.

Have your say...
