Recently I have had 3 serious kickbacks. last one just missed my head and punched a hole in my garage door. RIDGID R4512 IMAGINE THAT! I used a feather board to hold the stock against the fence, but still got 3 bad kickbacks. I may have been a little sloppy! as well. BUT I ordered the BOARD BUDDY ROLLERS from Peachtree, has anyone had any experience with these? -- Keep eating wood |

Does your Ridgid have a riving knife? |

Yup, they work well Rich. I haven’t felt the need to mount them on the sawstop… Yet. Rich, I had bad experiences using a magnetic feather board with the R4512, I suspect that holding a board to the fence makes it press harder against the side of the blade that is heeling. I tripped a breaker a few times. -- I always knew gun nuts where afraid of something, just never thought popcorn was on the list. |

Of course it is Rich, he created this account 45 minutes before Cricket shut down the Las Vegas one. -- I always knew gun nuts where afraid of something, just never thought popcorn was on the list. |

I don’t get this feature LJ has that enables anyone to change their username,we spend a good amount of time to get to know the person behind the name and all of a sudden that name is gone . -- Ken from Ontario, Canada |

Of course it is Rich, he created this account 45 minutes before Cricket shut down the Las Vegas one. I saw the first couple of posts by this guy in Knotscott’s thread and the sock puppetry was immediately apparent (to get around the ban, timing, general off-the-hinges tone). How many socks does this guy have? Do they not perma-ban people here? -- Practice makes less sucky. (Bill, Minneapolis, MN) |

I do not think the Ridgid 4512 has anything to do in the kickback. I truly think the end user is responsible for the kick back. And that there is no customer service that can fix the problem. |

I did like how he snuck onto Scott’s thread. It was awesome. Never used board buddies. I think you have to start a new account to change names. I like your post. -- Shooting down the walls of heartache. Bang bang. I am. The warrior. |

Is that possible with the blade guard, riving knife and anti kickback pawls in place? I’m kind of new to this and I’ve only had my 4512 for under year. |

with all the posts peppered throughout on how unhappy that individual is with their Rigid, why doesn’t he just sell the bleeping saw and buy a different make. If it was me, that saw would have been long gone. Problem solved…. If it isn’t the same person on the other threads, then nevermind….. -- I'm not clumsy.. This is profile number 5 now I think?? Even if LJ’s does ban IP addresses, I don’t think it’s all that difficult(even for the chemically unbalanced like Rich) to generate a new one. Rich….piss poor attempt at a project rip off. I have been woodworking for over 30 years. Knock on wood only 1 kickback and it took me 1 second to determine it was my own darn fault. Your having 3??? I suggest you run away while you still can cause if after the 3rd and your not able to determine why it is best you get out while you still can. -- What we do in life will Echo through Eternity........ |

Yeah, but you at least have to make them work at it a little bit. I’m sure that IP banning is like a crappy bike lock – it’s not great, but it’s still enough to deter 95% of the problems. -- Practice makes less sucky. (Bill, Minneapolis, MN) |
