Hey guys, I am looking to build a porch swing and I was wondering if anyone has ever done it and if so, what are some good designs?

You could get a lot of ideas from them.

Find one that looks comfortable to you. Lots of different designs out there.

Over the past year or so, I have seen projects in some of the wood working magazine. Try checking out some of them. They might have what you want.

I know the ones sold in stores nowadays aren’t anything to write home about. Find an old one on some victorian front porch and ask if you can measure it and take pictures. The world deserves better porch swings!

I want to make one too someday. We have one that came with the house that is falling apart. Here’s the link to the one on the New Yankee site. I actually like the look of that one a lot. Looks very sturdy.

Maybe when I finish my current project I’ll make one of these. :)
