I’m looking for a decent, affordable band saw for my shop. I’ve seen this one on CL for a while and the seller has lowered the price. https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/tls/4692028916.html Is Buffalo a decent brand? Is this a good deal? Looks like it should clean up nice. I like the light bulb attachment lol. It’s been hard trying to find a nice band saw on my local CL. Everyone wants too much money for their crap. I’m looking for something akin to this. Not a small benchtop and not a huge monster. -- Let's go Pens! |

Buffalo is another of the Taiwan brands. Don’t know if they are still around. My only hesitation would be that early Taiwan stuff had similar quality issues that the Japanese had after WWII, and that the Chinese have now. But, it should be okay, especially considering your budget restraints. -- I admit to being an adrenaline junky; fortunately, I'm very easily frightened |

I picked up an elephant branded one that looks just like that this summer. It works for me. |

I could spend more than that for the right saw. But, my local CL is slim pickings for decent band saws. I could buy 12 inch Craftsman saws all day for $150-200, but I think I can do better. There’s a nice looking Delta for $200. The ad is a little vague, though. I think it’s a 14 inch. -- Let's go Pens! |

Having fussed with an older Taiwan import in The Taiwan saws can be made to work well If the Buffalo was the only remotely affordable |

I think you should go for Delta band saw. Do you happen to know the model? -- "someone has to be wounded for others to be saved, someone has to sacrifice for others to feel happiness, someone has to die so others could live" |

The ad is a little vague. I sent an email asking for more details about the saw. I’m still waiting for a response. Maybe someone here knows more about it. https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/tls/4661446408.html -- Let's go Pens! |

The Delta is sold. The guy forgot to take down the post. I hate Craig’s list. -- Let's go Pens! |
