Hello. I just found out that my supplier for hardwood (Reimer) is no longer in Calgary. Blackforest is OK, but limited in selection. Just called Upper Canada Forest Products but they won’t sell to me. Anyone have any suggestions for an alternate that will sell to us without shops? Any advice would be appreciated.

Windsor Plywood. If their Calgary locations are at all like their Saskatoon location be prepared to open your wallet.

Call Bacon Veneer. 403-250-3757
They used to sell retail one or two days a week, not sure if they still do. They’ll have pretty much anything you need.

Sorry, that’s all Ive got, I buy everything from wholesale suppliers.

No first hand experience with black forest, but from what Ive heard from several people they’re extremely expensive.
(I’m also comparing wholesale with retail, but some prices relayed where nearly triple)

I have been using PJWhite hardwoods for years. Great selection and I can pick thru a whole lift if I want to. Plus their Hittich drawer slides and hinges are far better than any of the Blum products.

There’s that one fellow on kijiji that had a small mill too? Never used him but a bud said he bought some wood of him?

I have tried Black Forest but was not impressed with the prices. Davidson lumber might be good for large dimension lumber. Windsor plywood is where I get most of mine.
