Will I be getting “you sucks” or “thanks for the tip”?
I was at HD today to pick up a dowel and nylon washers for a project for my daughter’s birthday party. On my way to the checkout, I noticed a lot of yellow tags along the Bosch power tools section and decided to peruse when I saw this lovely display:
Seeing the deep discount (75% off) , I immediately got on all four, hoping that there was one still hidden in the bottom shelf. Sure enough, there was only 1 left, buried far in the back. I marched to the cashier triumphantly and came home with this. On top of this gloat, I had far more than forgivemess from my wife when I told her about my impulse buy. She asked if there were any other items that might be worth hording up on, and if I should have bought more!
PS: Consider this also a PSA, your local HD might be liquidating select Bosch power tools too.

I hear nothing but good things about the Bosch routers.
Even better when they are on sale.

Nice score! I have the 1617 combo. It sure is a sweet piece of kit for the price. Motor is very stout, very comfortable too.

That’s on my wish list. . . Good find.
I’ll have to stop in tomorrow morning to see if my HD has one (or two) at this price.
-- There's two routers in my vocab, one that moves data and one that removes wood, the latter being more relevant on this forum.

Wow.
Great deal find. Since I got my Bosch 4100 table saw, I became a Bosch fan. When I needed a new cordless drill, it was Bosch and same with my latest small trim router. But mine was either $89 or $99 and that was for the small one!
Good gloat.

Wonder what it is with HD and Lowes. Lowes got rid of all their Bessy stuff and HD is clearing out their Bosch?

So after a bit more snooping, I was tipped off that Home Depot will no longer be stocking Bosch products in the B&M stores effective Oct 1, 2014 (hence the liquidation prices I saw). In it’s place will be more Milwaukee products.
They will be holding progressive price drops, so keep your eyes peeled for price drops in the store.

That is too nice of a tool for Home Depot anyways. I was a little surprised to see them stock it in the first place. They tend to focus on the low end Ryobi tools etc.
